ONLINE TUTORING ENTREPRENUER PARTNERS WITH FOUNDATION
HOUSE TO LAUNCH PERPETUAL FUNDING INITIATIVE FOR CHARITIES
Debbie, Cluff, former teacher and founder of www.links-for-learning.com
and her mother, former educator Melanie Roberts join volunteers
to launch Shopping for Abundance in New York City
New York, NY & Pasadena, CA - October 15, 2007 –
Debbie Cluff, founder of Links-for-Learning, an online tutoring
program for children, announced today, that while in New York
City to launch her new TV and Radio show, she and co-host (and
mother) Melanie Roberts, will help the Shopping for Abundance
group of women launch the Clubco Christmas Charity Challenge launch,
October 15th -17th.
The Clubco Christmas Charity Challenge was created by a group
of people who wanted to find a way to perpetually fund charitable
causes. Shoppers can choose to shop online through Clubco.com
membership which attaches them to the charity of their choice.
Shoppers using this online membership will be giving up to 5%
cash back on their retail purchases to their favorite charity
each and every time they use that membership to shop.
According to Debbie when she heard about the idea while being
interviewed on a radio show she decided she wanted to volunteer
her time. The Clubco Christmas Charity Challenge asks that women
and their families commit to shop online through the end of the
year (and hopefully after) to buy online and support their favorite
cause.
According to Debbie Cluff, a former Los Angeles California teacher
of “at risk” students, she loved the idea that shopping online
would cash into her favorite charity’s pocket. She and her family
chose to shop for A Child’s Hope Fund (www.achildshopefund.org),
which works with companies to help families fund their adoptions
because coming from a family of eight adopted kids has made her
aware of how important it is for families who want to adopt to
have support.
“Each time I shop online my favorite stores give cash back to
my favorite charity,” said Cluff. “It is a way I can give all
year long to the Children’s Hope Foundation without doing all
the fundraising. If every person who shopped online gave 5% cash
back to charity we could solve much of the world’s problems. Not
to mention give parents, like mine, who desire a chance to adopt
children into their families. It’s a wonderful idea.”
Debbie’s new internet radio and TV show, Links for Learning –
Connecting Minds will be available at the first of November on
the Grapevine Talk Radio Network and on the Grapevine Talk TV
network. She says she will definitely share the shopping for Abundance
Christmas Charity Challenge with her audience along with her educational
insights.
Cluff will be in Manhattan meeting with editors of publications
catering to women and their families concerning her new internet
radio and TV show, Links for Learning – Connecting Minds and meeting
with potential agents about her book, 7 Easy Ways to Help Your
Student Succeed: How Ordinary Parents can Make Extraordinary Students.
She will also join the group of women sharing the Clubco Christmas
Charity Challenge with the goal of sharing the story of Shopping
for Abundance with women all over the world.
